What's in Canton Fair Phase 1 (Advanced Manufacturing)?

Canton Fair’s first phase is themed Advanced Manufacturing, and it’s built around electronics, machinery, vehicles, and the hardware and materials behind them. If your sourcing falls into one of these areas, this is the phase to attend — the fair’s other two phases cover a genuinely different set of products, not an overlapping sample.

What phase 1 covers

The official categories grouped under this phase span consumer electronics and household appliances, industrial automation and processing machinery, power and general machinery, construction and agricultural machinery, new materials and chemical products, new-energy vehicles and conventional vehicles and their parts, motorcycles and bicycles, lighting equipment, hardware, tools, and service robots.

That’s a wide span deliberately: phase 1 groups categories by where they sit in a manufacturing chain, from raw materials and components through to finished consumer electronics, rather than by who the end buyer is.

Categories with a fair-or-market verdict

A handful of phase 1 categories have their own page comparing the fair against a specialised wholesale market outside it:

The rest of phase 1 — industrial machinery, vehicles and vehicle parts, and new materials and chemical products — doesn’t have a dedicated page yet. For machinery and industrial equipment specifically, that’s less of a gap than it sounds: sourcing this kind of equipment outside the fair is a fundamentally different exercise (factory visits and technical negotiation, not a wholesale market), and the fair itself is close to the only practical way to see multiple manufacturers side by side in one trip.
