Which Guzhen trading centre actually has what you need?
The four main trading centres, what each one actually stocks, and the fastest route in from the fair complex.
Guzhen isn’t one building — it’s a cluster of large, separately run trading centres, and knowing which one has what you need before you go saves a wasted trip across town.
The main trading centres
- Huayi International Lighting Plaza — one of the largest centres, open during standard daytime hours.
- S-Light Global Brand Center — open into the early evening, later than Huayi.
- Lihe Plaza — the biggest by floor space, and open later still, into the night.
- Ruifeng International Lighting Fittings City — worth knowing about specifically because it’s different from the others: it sells components — drivers, housings, heat sinks — rather than finished lamps.
Plan around the specific centre, not “the market”
Because these centres keep different hours and stock different things, treat a Guzhen visit as a trip to a specific building with a specific purpose, not a single destination you can show up to at any time of day. Arriving at the wrong centre, or at the right one after it’s closed for the evening, wastes a trip that already takes real planning to make.
Getting there from the fair
A high-speed rail line connects Guangzhou South railway station to Guzhen directly, in well under an hour. Getting from Pazhou to Guangzhou South itself adds time on top of that leg — budget a half-day round trip at minimum, more if you’re visiting more than one trading centre.
If you’re planning well ahead
Guzhen also hosts its own dedicated lighting exhibition, separate from the Canton Fair, and the two calendars can overlap in a given year — worth checking current dates directly if you’re trying to combine both trips, rather than assuming they’ll align.
What’s next
Go back to the fair-versus-market decision for lighting if you haven’t already settled whether Guzhen is worth the trip for your order.
